Well, that about wraps up this attempt at my yearly hockey pool, it's 5th year in existence and probably it's last as it always tend to be a bit of a challenge to get 10 people to commit to join a 3rd or 4th hockey pool but i do appreciate all of you that decided to give it a shot this year.

Like the NHL 2006 post lock out, there were a lot of changes made in trying a different website host but the difficulties in making it interactive was difficult in keeping up with blog posting, the rule changes, the snorting coke off of naked strippers' asses  ---- wait, you all just want to know who won;

Well, from pole to pole it was Thrilla, who wins a $50 gift certificate to the Copper Pig BBQ House. Enjoy the deliciousness as you savour the thrilla of being able to withstand my many mid-season rule changes in an effort to rig the results so that I would win (which i didn't so shut up).

Despite attempts to make this a bit challenging, the new system and pool host (hockeydraft.ca) didn't allow for as much interaction as previous years using the Yahoo pool format. Thrilla was the only one to figure out the crazy points system to his advantage and used it to ride Jarome Iginla's amazing season to number one overall.

So congratulations, Thrilla!

As for Blow My Goat, you made it a semi-close race, like a race between the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers vying to not be the Buffalo Sabres. And for that you won this nice set of steak knives.
